Don't let them drag you down
Refuse to be taken along,
On thier journeys
Of endless sorrows.
Be independent,
Be strong.
And when
They flash you a smile
All along
Despising you inside;
Don't let them drag you down,
Smile back
And forget they're alive.
For they hate the most
The person,
Whose spirit
They can not break.
Don't let them drag you down,
My friend,
Don't even associate.
Refuse to be taken along,
On thier journeys

There is a man I know, who used to be a boy,
He never was a child, but he used to be a boy.
The child was never there, the innocence and love,
The feeling of security and a home with family love.

Maybe it’s the part of him that should have been a child.
Can he ever feel that part of him, now that he’s a man –
When it never really happened, well I guess he never can.
Maybe he seeks the child in him in another little one,
The little one he knows and loves, the one he calls his son.
Will this be the answer to his endless search?
For something that is mis

Awesome poem Linda. Very inspiring and uplifting. A great way, to tell people to just be themselves and not be brought down by someone's poisonous words. To hold your head up high and be strong!
