Blue's Gift: The Yellow Rose                                    The Yellow Rose
   It was that time of year when the cold snow, would pour down heavily upon the world, falling out of darken clouds, flowing down much like water over waterfalls roaring over stones, racing wildly down streams. Except unlike the noisy waterfalls, the falling snow was quite as death, the only sound it made was thump, thump, thump, this happen when it gathered too heavily upon old bare tree limbs and under great weights they would cry out in their midwinter night’s dream.  It was now reaching the peak hour, the time of the night when it was half way between evening and morn.  A magical time one could say, when doorways opened up so creatures from other realms could enter and explore or wreak havoc.
   Soft as a whisper a solitary figure walk through the snow, with each footstep a small green vine would twist and

  A Haunting we shall goA Haunting we shall go
Once we dance like strangers, with the shadows of our past lives
Sailing through the seas of our salty old memories
Walking upon the waves of sea foam, like fishes we lived upon wishes
Like new born kittens we meowed, for more of the cream of life
Slowly our thoughts awaking to the dawn of man as we rose up like cities to take a stand
Our cries whistling in like missiles, before exploding upon sharp rocks, like sea spray
Sleeping in meadows of orange poppies, as they moved over us in waves upon waves
Stirring like ice in a tall glass of ice tea, in the coolest of end of summer’s breeze
Our world growing darker, as the storms within our souls, grew deeper with rage
Broken promises, falling down with broken dreams, children racing naked across the sands of time
Once we walked together hand in hand, through the murky shadows of our mad minds
Growing older and wickeder, then the oldest of Grimm’s nursery rhymes
