I see the clouds overhead Feel the wind on my face I know what's coming next A storm is passing through Some would seek shelter I embrace the storm openly Why dread what nature gives It's simply a part of life I will stand in the rain Feel it splash upon my skin A calming sensation for me It reminds me of the past I used to embrace the wild Explore my environments Few would dare to follow So I could be at peace I recall many a time I'd come home all dirty A fall in a puddle of mud Or a dip in a local creek Yet as I grew much older Nature ceased to exist Replaced by empty spaces Where man would soon build Those places may be gone But the storms still rage So I'll walk in said storms To cleanse my body and soul I see the clouds overhead Feel the wind on my face I know what's coming next A storm is passing through
